1. Who We Are

WandrMeet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the WandrMeet mobile and web application (the “Service”). We are headquartered in Manila, Philippines. Questions about this policy can be directed to hello@wandrmeet.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and the password you create. You may optionally provide your age, gender, city, occupation, languages, interests, and a profile photo.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, swipe actions, matches made, and messages sent (metadata only — not content).

Device and technical data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and general location (city-level) to operate and improve the Service.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive only a payment token and transaction status.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To match you with other users in the appropriate mode
  • To operate City Hubs and surface relevant local content
  • To process subscription payments
  • To send product updates, match notifications, and service emails
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
  • To improve and personalise the Service

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Other users: Your profile (name, photo, bio, city, mode-specific preferences) is visible to potential matches in the relevant mode.
  • Service providers: We use third-party vendors (Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, email providers) who process data on our behalf under strict data agreements.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers: If WandrMeet is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you beforehand.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Port your data to another service
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session state. We use analytics cookies (anonymised) to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; this may affect some features.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take every reasonable precaution.

9. Children

WandrMeet is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
